Business Etiquette Workshops
We provide a range of business etiquette courses. Our courses are highly interactive and action focused. We use a mix of training materials and formats. This ensures that attendees are interested from the start of the programme to the end. We make sure that attendees leave the programmes with a good understanding of business etiquette and a personal action plan.
Bad business manners can be very costly to business. 38% of people surveyed in our 2007 etiquette survey said that they would move their business elsewhere if they were on the receiving end of bad manners.
Good business manners make good business sense.
Some of the other findings from the survey are set out below:
- 98% believe good table manners are important
- 97% value punctuality
- 75% have been embarrassed by a colleague's manners
- 53% believe that we are less mannerly than 10 years ago
- Only 16% are required to wear a business suit for work
- 68% said that it is not acceptable to use bad language at work
- Only 4% said that it is acceptable to discuss business on a mobile phone in public
- 40% of respondents have looked at another person’s laptop screen
- 66% have eavesdropped on a phone conversation
Our courses range in length from two hours to full day programmes depending on the specific needs of our clients. We deliver training at a time and location that suits clients. For example some clients need training before the working day commences or others prefer to do training at weekends.
Some of the verbatim comments for attendees on our programmes are as follows:
- This was a great course, everyone should do it.
- The course exceeded my expectations.
- I found it to be very informative and interesting. I would highly recommend this course to colleagues, friends and family.
- The course was very informative with additional tips and quick wins.
- I will definitely be putting all the theory into practice in future.
- I would definitely recommend this course to anyone – excellently presented material in a polished setting, which itself went that extra 10% above the standard meeting room environment.
- I have a renewed focus on my own branding along with extra awareness of the importance of etiquette.
- It is very interesting to know the colours you wear could change how people see you.
- I liked the way Pamela backed up points with the latest surveys, and other research done on the topic.
- I found the point about being able to handle stress without putting the stress on others very good, and one I should work at taking on board more.
- Of most benefit was taking the time to think how one can improve appearance and personal brand.
- This course reinforced that we need to make great first impressions and they only happen once.
- There was very good information on how to conduct and present yourself in general.
